Intro to Ceramic Wheel Throwing

Service Description

Students will get to experience working on a pottery wheel during this eight week workshop. Students will learn the basics of throwing pottery on a wheel. We will practice techniques like centering clay, pulling clay walls, and learning to use a variety of tools. We will make a variety of different items such as pots, mugs, bowls and more. There is a lot of room for creativity in this class! Students will also learn about different types of clay, how to glaze pottery and will learn about the firing process of green ware and bisque ware. After the seventh class, all pottery pieces will then be fired and the eighth class in the workshop will be reserved for glazing pottery pieces. All pottery will be fired again once the workshop ends and pieces will be ready for pick up once notified. Due to the number of pottery wheels we own in the studio the number of students we can take are very limited. All supplies and kiln services are included! Cancellation Policy

Class fees are non-refundable. Students may change their reservation to a different class if requested at least one week before the start of the class. Students must pay the difference if switching to a class with a higher price. Partial refunds will not be given for switching to classes with lower prices.
