For ages 16 - Adult. This workshop is great beginners or potters who want to refine their skills in hand building. Students will learn the basic of building pottery pieces by hand. There will be no wheel throwing in this class, everything will be hand built! Students will have plenty of creative freedom in this workshop while working under instruction to build a variety of different ceramic items, such as vases, pots, and dishes. We will learn decoration techniques such as relief, and intaglio sculpture to style and adorn each piece. Classes 1-3 will be used to create our pieces. Class 4 will be reserved for glazing all ceramics and preparing them for the kiln. All projects will be left at the studio to be fired. Please allow a minimum of one week after the end of the workshop for us to finishing firing your ceramics. We will contact you once your pieces are ready for pick up. All clay, materials, supplies, and firing services are included.
