Beginner Wheel Throwing

Enter the wonderful world of ceramics in this eight week, beginner friendly course. Students will learn all of the basics of throwing clay on a pottery wheel. Centering clay, pulling walls, shaping forms, making handles, and adding decorative elements are just a few of the skills taught in this course! Students will have the chance to make one of a kind ceramics in the fun, cozy atmosphere of our little home studio. Our class sizes are small and our passions are big! This is a great course for ambitious creatives to learn new skills and apply their creativity to their pottery pieces in a no pressure environment. All supplies, materials, and firing/glazing services are included! Some things to note: Some students catch on to wheel throwing quickly and some need more time to get the hang of it. Thats fine! If you are brand new to wheel throwing, please expect your first class or two to be a trial and error experience. During some classes, you may turn out one or two finished pieces, and other classes you might not turn out any successful pieces. The pottery experience is all about learning and growing even if not all of your projects are a success. But don't worry! Your instructor will work with you to help you improve throughout this course and everyone will go home with a handful beautiful hand crafted, completed ceramic pieces. Wheel throwing is a very fun and rewarding experience!
